Carlos Kleiber – Traces to nowhere

 The documentary represents the first film dedicated to the enigmatic figure of Carlos Kleiber, who is renowned as one of the greatest conductors of the 20th century. The film, directed by Eric Schulz, follows in the traces of Kleibers final journey from Munich, where he lived, to the slovenian village Konjšica. The documentary includes interviews with friends such as Plácido Domingo, Otto Schenk, Michael Gielen, Brigitte Fassbaender and Otto Staindl but also his sister Veronika Kleiber. She never wanted to talk about the things her brother did, but in this case she made an exception: It was her first and only interview.
