Choral Recording of the Year (16th/ 17th century)

Christina Pluhar/ L'Arpeggiata

Im Jahr 2000 gründete Christina Pluhar ihr eigenes Ensemble. L’Arpeggiata heißt die zehnköpfige, vor Experimentierfreude und rauschhafter Musizierlust schier überschäumende Truppe, die seitdem das Publikum in Europa, Südamerika und Australien von den Sitzen reißt und einen Schallplattenpreis nach dem anderen einheimst. Woran das liegt, ahnt man bereits, wenn man sich die Besetzung von L’Arpeggiata ansieht. Neben barocken Instrumenten wie Harfe, Theorbe und Violine findet sich da unter anderem auch ein alpenländisch-folkloristisches Hackbrett oder eine jazzige Klarinette. Denn auch wenn Christina Pluhar das Handwerk der historischen Aufführungspraxis von der Pike auf gelernt hat – starre Grenzen kennt sie für ihr Musizieren nicht.
